Immodest proposal

In Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” Swift suggests (or proposes) that there would be less poor people if the poor people ate their babies.

His logic was that by eating the babies the poor people would have less to worry about; they would have fewer mouths to feed and also more food to feed them with. Eating babies would also lower poverty because there would be less poor people. Less poor babies equals less poor adults.

I thought that we could apply the same type of logic to the Social Security problem. Once again a problem is being created by a large population of one type of people. I say to fix the Social Security system we should eat baby boomers.

Less baby boomers means less retirees draining the system. We could even set up restraints where we sell menu items like fried baby boomer, baby boomer pizza and baby boomer a flambé. We could take the profits from these restraints and put them into the Social Security trust fund.

This would probably solve problems with Medicare too.
